Spring/Summer Family Events at the Cotswolds Discovery Centre

Family storytelling, Children's flax making workshops, Sheep and Wool Day, Medieval Pardoner re-enactment, and outdoor theatre!

Tuesday 16th February 2:30 pm - Family storytelling. FREE. Local entertainer Chloe of the Midnight Storytellers brings half term fun to the Cotswolds Discovery Centre. With her singing bowl, silver dancing drum and colourful outfit, Chloe delights audiences of all ages with folktales and legends from around the world. The 45 minute show is free, and followed by a free session with colouring sheets.

Friday 8th April  - Children's flax making workshop. FREE. How long is a piece of string? Come and learn about how string and rope is made and have a go at making some yourself! Learn about plying twine to make rope. Make some and take it home.

Monday 2nd May - Sheep and wool day. FREE. A family fun day to celebrate the Cotswold Sheep and all things woolly!

Saturday 4th June - Medieval Pardoner re-enactment. FREE. Come and experience life in medieval times when a pardoner and his apprentice will be setting up camp in the courtyard at the Old Prison. Find out about everyday living, food, drink and fun! Learn about the wondrous Holy relics of Gloucestershire and then try your hand at writing with a quill pen!

Friday 26th August - Wind in the Willows outdoor theatre show. Adults £8, children £6, under 3's free. Join with us and Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger for lots of adventures along the riverbank. Booking through the Everyman Theatre will open soon - watch this space!
