Exhibition and Artist in Residence - Cath Hodsman 23 March - 23 April This art exhibition celebrates the fascinating anatomy, diversity, colour, shape, form and importance of insects. Cath pays homage to these amazing mini-beasts by painting and sketching them using a scale that enables all to appreciate their beauty that is normally hidden from view. Cath Hodsman is one of the country's foremost natural-history artists. Her passion and specialism is painting and sketching insects. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see and purchase her original works in a unique solo show. A personal collection of insects will also be on show. Cath will be based at the museum as our Artist in Residence for one week from Monday 27 March to Saturday 1 April 2017. Cath is superbly knowledgeable about insects (entomology) and the natural world as well as artistic techniques so drop by to see her work in practice, meet the artist and ask questions.
