COMBE MILL in STEAM Sunday 16th July 2017

Theme:- Vintage & Classic Wheels at Combe

We will be running all of our steam and water powered machinery in this Late 19th Century restored Sawmill and Workshop that once served the Blenheim Palace Estate. We are also featuring vintage transport. We will be attracting steam and motor powered vehicles of various sorts – why not get in touch and register to display your vintage vehicle? Have a go at making a poker in our Dual Blacksmiths’ Forge and relax by the River Evenlode in the riverside picnic area. See how country houses and farms would have powered their machinery. This hands-on makes you think and learn through trying your hand at making things and seeing how machinery works. See our working Beam Engine and Line Shafting together with the Restored Waterwheel. Demonstrations of craftsmen's tools plus a collection of Working Historic Tower Clocks make for an enjoyable visit.

Refresh yourselves in our popular Riverside Tea Room, enjoy the picnic area by the River Evenlode.

There is a Millie-the-mill-cat trail for the children to win a `Millie` badge
