Friday 7th December - Saturday 12th January 2013 The seasonal theme includes postage stamp designs for the Royal Mail, children’s books and Christmas magazine illustrations, alongside prints and drawings taken from a lifetime in graphic art. The exhibition includes new work from his forthcoming book The Purple Emperor. Giclée prints, award winning books and original sketches will be on sale at prices to suit all pockets. Visual arts writer Steve Hare observes: “Tony fills the space with the most intricate detail in a manner that traces a direct line back to the medieval scribes, producing work that bears comparison with Escher, Magritte and the best traditional Japanese art, and he manages to do this with a constant wry smile.” Entry to the museum’s temporary exhibition space is free
