This course is open to all - whether you are an absolute beginner, want to refresh your Latin, or as a first step in gaining a qualification
In the perfect setting of the Corinium Museum, you will be tracing Latin’s connections with other languages, learning key vocabulary and the basics of Latin grammar. It is taught in the historical and cultural context of ancient Rome as the foundation of Western civilisation, and takes artefacts from the museum as inspiration. We will discuss some famous literature, art and architecture, and there will also be an opportunity to pursue topics which interest you individually. It is also an opportunity to meet likeminded people and study together in a supportive atmosphere.
