Chadlington Apple Day

Saturday 19/10/13 00:00

Memorial Hall, Chadlington

Apple Day is a British calendar event all about celebrating the vast array of apple varieties. Chadlington is one of the few Cotswold villages to host an Apple Day event, all within the context of Autumn and the Cotswolds.
There will be a hog roast with home-made apple sauce, apple cider, apple pies, apple cakes and much more. If you are lucky enough to have apple trees or are interested in growing apples, Andy Howard from Heritage Fruit Trees will be on hand for the afternoon to answer all your questions. You will also find bee experts on hand, rural crafts such as willow weaving and spinning, pottery and wood carving not to mention market stalls packed full of fresh, seasonal produce and hand-made crafts. And, of course, plenty to do for little kids, big kids and grown-ups-with-the-big-kid-inside such as apple bobbing, apple and spoon races, welly-wanging, tug of war, and even a jousting horse. It's a great day for everyone. Unless you're an apple.
