Walking and Photography Weekend

Friday 25/04/14 00:00 - 28/04/14 00:00

The Guildhouse, Stanton

a long weekend in a magnificent Arts and Crafts manor house, in one of the most beautiful parts of England, where you can learn how to improve your images with help from a professional photographer
Itinerary Friday 25th April: Arrive at the Guildhouse between 16:30 and 18:30. Dinner at the Guildhouse and introductions. Saturday 26th April: Discuss “how to look and see” before taking a walk along the Cotswold escarpment, learning more about the area and taking lots of photographs. Review photos in the centre in the late afternoon. Dinner. Sunday 27th April: Decide on a personal project, share cars and drive to the start of the short day walk. Return to Stanton to review the images. Dinner. Monday 28th April: Improve your technique on the last day walk. Return to the centre to review results in early afternoon. Leave by 17:00. Leaders: Ruth Davey, photographer. Ruth will focus on looking and seeing the world with new eyes. Using stillness, reflection and a connection with nature, workshops will be kept simple (not very ‘techy’), creative and fun. Anne Martis, walk leader. Anne will lead the short walks and point out interesting and historic sites and features in the landscape that you may normally pass by. Price: £370 per person, full board, for 3 days of walking and photography for a small group of up to 12 people.
