An Evening Lecture with Dr. Alison Brookes Thursday 26 February, 7- 8.30pm In 2008 excavations at Kingshill North on the edge of Cirencester revealed two Beaker burials. These burials, dated c. 2400-2000 BC, make a total of 10 examples discovered from the Upper Thames over the last 25 years. Join Dr. Alison Brookes who will reveal the findings of the fieldwork and latest scientific analyses. Alison joined the staff of Corinium Museum in 2005 after studying for a doctorate in Iron Age archaeology. Her previous roles include being part of an international Palaeolithic research team and a position with National Museum of Wales, Cardiff.
