Cotswold Grassland Week: Wild Flowers of the Glyme Valley

Sunday 07/06/15 10:00 - 14:00

Glyme Farm

A gentle stroll beginning and ending in the centre of Chipping Norton. The walk will include green lanes and the rich wild flower meadows in and around Glyme Farm.

The highlight of the walk is a visit to Glyme Farm and its associated species-rich grasslands. It is an SSSI and is particularly notable as one of the best sites in the UK for the rare meadow clary.

If it is warm and sunny there is a good chance of seeing a range of butterflies including marbled whites and common blues.

Other habitats of interest include wetlands, species-rich hedges and woodlands.

Meet outside Chipping Norton Town Hall in the Market Square.

Suitable for families.
