Cotswold Grassland Week: Wild Farming

Tuesday 09/06/15 10:00 - 14:00

Cleeve Common

Discover Cleeve Common as a working farm on this special 6 mile guided walk.

Shaped by hundreds of years of farming, the Common is still a working farm today, and the crop is one of the country's most precious resources: flower-rich, limestone grassland. This walk over Cleeve Common will explore the intrinsic link between farming and our Cotswolds grasslands, and reveal the farming business behind the nature reserve - from soil nutrients to pest control, from livestock to machinery, and from red tape to balancing the books. And of course we will take some time to admire our crops!

Meet at the quarry car park.

To find Cleeve Hill Quarry Car Park - turn off the B4632 at the summit, signposted to the Golf Club, down narrow track over cattle grid, left and right into car park.

Please wear sturdy footwear as the route may be steep/muddy in places.

No dogs or children please.
