Fresh from their "Best Group" win at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2015, The Young'uns are bring their irrepressible talents to The Convent in Gloucestershire, and to the world via Netgig. The trio play at The Convent on Tuesday 26 May at 8pm.
One of the most popular and entertaining acts on the folk scene, the band's harmony singing, passion for storytelling and social commentary combine for an unmissable show. Since 2013, the Youngun's have performed alongside Billy Bragg at Glastonbury, opened the main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival, recorded a memorable live session on BBC Radio 2, held a host of intimate rural singing weekends, visited dozens of schools and appeared at over 40 festivals at home and abroad. This year sees the release of their 4th album and a major tour to celebrate their 30th birthdays. The Young'uns new album Another Man's Ground celebrates working class heroes of the past and present with powerful and poignant tales of struggle, poverty and peace.
