Following last year's inaugural Classic Car & Vintage Transport Show at which 70 cars, motorbikes and other vehicles were displayed, Naunton is once again organising a second motoring themed event in conjunction with all the attractions of a traditional village fete.
Following last year's show at which 70 cars, motorbikes and other vehicles were displayed, Naunton is once again organising a motoring themed event in conjunction with all the attractions of a traditional village fete. This year's event will again be held on the village's picturesque recreation field (GL54 3AS) overlooking the River Windrush and medieval Dovecote on Sunday 19th July from 12.00 until 4pm. The gates will open for entrants at 11.00. For those displaying vehicles there is a £5 entry fee which includes one voucher for a cup of tea/coffee and a bacon roll and a combined program and raffle ticket. For members of the public entry and parking is free. Prizes will be awarded to best in class pre-1940, pre-1970 and pre-2000 cars; best commercial/utility/agricultural vehicle; best in class pre-and post-war motorbikes and 'Best in Show'. The public can vote for the vehicle "I would most like to take home" In addition there's a quiz for the children, and various games to compete in, traditional fete stalls, delicious cream teas and cakes, BBQ and refreshments available throughout, makes a fun day for all.
