Step into the Cotswolds

Six walks in West Oxfordshire devised as part of the Cotswolds Green Tourism Project, with funds raised through the Visitor Payback Scheme.  The walks are based at Milton-Under-Wychwood, Stonefield, Finstock, Ramsden and Chipping Norton.

Walk 1 - Chipping Norton to Over Norton

An easy walk of 2.5 miles across gently undulating countryside from the market town of Chipping Norton to Over Norton and back to Chipping Norton.


Walk 2 - Chipping Norton, Salford, Cornwell

A delightful walk of 6.5 miles across gently undulating countryside from the market town of Chipping Norton to the Cotswold villages of Salford and Cornwell and back to Chipping Norton.


Walk 3 - Stonesfield

A walk of 6.5 miles from Stonesfield to Combe and Blenheim Great Park and back to Stonesfield. There are two extensions of 2.5 miles and 2.8 miles.


Walk 4 - Milton-under-Wychwood/Fifield

A walk of 6 miles (or 8 miles following the extended route) from Milton-under-Wychwood to Fifield and Little Rissington Airfield and back to Milton.


Walk 5 - Ramsden

A circular walk of 1.75 miles, starting and finishing in Ramsden village centre and exploring the surrounding countryside along the way.


Walk 6 - Finstock

A circular walk of 2 miles that starts and finishes in Finstock village centre. The route takes you in the general direction of Ramsden, exploring the surrounding countryside along the way.


 Walk 7 - Cherington, Warwickshire

Wonderful Cotswold countryside and two picturesque villages combine to make this a perfect little circular 4.5mile walk through the South Warwickshire part of the Cotswolds AONB.


Walk 8 - Brailes, Warwickshire

A circular 4.5 mile walk in South Warwickshire, incorporating the village of Upper Brailes and circling Brailes Hill.


Walk 9 - Whichford, Warwickshire

Wonderful Cotswold countryside incorporating the villages of Whichford and Ascott make this a perfect 2.5 circular walk through South Warwickshire. Also includes Whichford Pottery.
